RKP - Basic pump

Design Features :

Wherever a variable delivery is required to suit the operating conditions, RKP pumps can be used. The logical modular design allows a wide range of pump and control requirements to be met. The construction features of the RKP pump make it suitable for systems requiring high continuous pressures, long service life and low noise levels. Tandem RKP pumps are available with varying displacements. Combinations with other pump models such as Wepuko internal gear pumps are possible. RKP pumps may be used in open, semi-closed and closed circuits. Their excellent suction behaviour and low sensitivity to contamination make them ideal for open circuit use. The addition of a make-up pump extends their use into closed circuit systems.

The RKP radial piston pump is an internal admission, slide controlled, positive displacement pump. The pistons(5), arranged radially, within a star shaped cylinder block(3), abut an adjustable stroke ring(7), through hydrostatically balanced slipper pads(6). The displacement of the pistons can be varied by altering the eccentricity of the stroke ring, by actuating a regulating piston(10,11). The direction of flow can be reversed.
